> Hi everyone,
> I'm going to be in the Bay area for just over a week soon. My husband has been looking up things for us to do. Anyone have suggestions? So far he's just looked into going to see some redwoods at some large park (I forget where). Those would be Muir Woods - really worth the trip. I absolutely love that place. I find it to be a grueling drive, but then I live where it's very flat. It helped for me to be the one who was driving - otherwise, my fingers were cramped from digging into the seats of the car with all the twisty turns in getting there.

> ggThe Ferry Terminal building in San Francisco is an awesome place, full of foodie gems. You'd best arrive with an appetite, a full wallet, and plan to spend several hours. Some great food specialty shops - like a mushroom store! - and of course the best cafes and restaurants, all contained in a beautifully restored building on the waterfront. Oh, and the ferries stop there.
I even enjoyed Sonoma and Napa valleys, acting as chauffeur for the wine tasters. Simply beautiful scenery with little gems of towns and oodles of great shopping.
