What to do in the Bay area?

Hi everyone,
I'm going to be in the Bay area for just over a week soon. My husband has been looking up things for us to do. Anyone have suggestions? So far he's just looked into going to see some redwoods at some large park (I forget where).
I'd be interested in hearing about just about anything that's interesting there--both touristy and non-touristy things.
