I failed to consider that your doctor might have been seeing you for a while. If that's the case, it's because you're unique and special. People don't always, or even often, fit nicely into the little diagnostic cubbyholes of the DSM. It's easy to imagine straddling lines, especially between similar diagnoses.
I long ago decided that I'm not strange, I'm eclectic. A tad eccentric, perhaps. Ya know?
