PD NOS is given when you overlap one or more PD's but don't technically fit the complete criteria for a specific PD - it doesn't mean you aren't "ill" or they think you're faking - a better term would be complex PD - sometimes a pdoc will defer a definable PD until the axis I is under control and give a more general dx of PD NOS - it all depends on your particular situation.
I do not believe it is a *trash* dx as Phillippa said.
I'd ask your pdoc why he/she gave you that specific dx.
