LOVE Handel...excellent stuff!!
there was this movie a while ago that actually opened me up to opera...yes opera, which i never thought i'd like. .but this movie was INCREDIBLE!!
it's called farinelli. based on the life of carlo broschi a castrato. it is heart wrentching. but the music burns through my soul.
it also includes works by riccardo broschi, hasse, pergolesi and porpora.
all great.
