Unreasonable Anger: mood instability or bad mood?

Posted by Sonya on August 9, 2005, at 8:48:57

Haven't felt this angry in over a year. The last time was when I was rapid cycling, but I don't think that's what's happening now. I also realize my anger is totally unreasonable and out of proportion to what's going on. I'm even ruminating over something that happened last Fall! This is rediculous but I can't control my thoughts and this anger. I feel like raging at the world!

I've been diagnosed BPII, mild OCD. Only med I'm on is 6.25mg Seroquel (going off all meds soon). Afraid to tell my pdoc because he'll tell me to restart mood stabilizer and increase antipsychotic.

Is this just a "bad mood" or a more serious mood instability? How does one tell the difference?
