Hi Tamara,
Glad to hear that you're doing well and that your wrist is healing. It's important to be able to type with both hands so you can talk easily on Babble!
The "PrimeTime" segment was quite fascinating. The guy claims to channel 30 dead doctors. People come from all over the world to be healed by him. They must all dress in white and we see a lot of them walking up the hill to the clinic in Brazil to be healed. They followed the progress of 5 different people with various serious conditions. They showed how this guy does these strange surgeries. In one of them he takes a pair of forceps and some gause and he sticks them way up the noses of the "patients" and twists them all around. It's really disgusting to watch. The patients bleed afterwards but the patients claim to have no pain and they don't seem to ever pick up any infections from the procedure.Anyway, the results were somewhat inconclusive. One guy with a very aggressive brain tumor did have it shrink up quite a bit which was miraculous. Another woman who was in a wheel chair for many years, did make some initial attempts to walk. She had more balance and was able to stand up with only one finger on a bar. A top U.S. doctor did conclude that she had made progress. Another woman with CFS and bad allergies did claim to feel much better but still has some (but less) allergy problems. A woman with breast cancer didn't get any better. A man with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) did not get any better either. The reporter for the show who had a shoulder problem didn't get cured (although he did say that he broke some of the rules by not obstaining from certain foods and ativities in the 40 days after his treatment). All in all, a fascinating story. Here's the link if you want to read the text of the segment: (It goes on for 4 pages if you click on the numbers at the bottom of the page.)

Do you feel that your wrist has healed faster because of the doctor you saw?
I used to find political things very interesting too. I was a political science major in college. Now I try not to read too much about politics in the U.S. because it just depresses me. Sounds like things are a lot better in Canada though.
I am currently taking a small amount of doxepin and it has done wonders for my anxiety. I felt completely normal yesterday for the first time in a couple of months. No panic or excessive anxiety or more accurately, no escalating anxiety. The depression is another matter however but I'm working on it. Did you start on the nort. yet or are you still waiting for your doctor to prescribe it?
Thanks for all of your support. I'm wishing you all the best too.

When I watch t.v. these days, I have been focussing mostly on the news and current events, and have been keeping myself informed about parliamentary and government initiatives and political affairs (Canadian) so that I am not completely out of the loop when I return to work (I am so boring!). The current political landscape here in Canada is making for some interesting times, particularly with a minority government, and it is going to be interesting to see how things unfold in the weeks and months ahead.

> My wrist is healing. Not fast enough for me, but I have always been a impatient patient. The cast came off and the pins came out a week ago (a week earlier than scheduled), and, with each passing day, I am able to use the wrist more and more. I actually wrote today and I just realized that I have been typing with both hands for a few minutes. I wish other parts of me healed as fast as my bones seem to.

> Anyway, I have been my usual long-winded self - sorry. So, enough about me. How are you? Has your anxiety subsided to at least a tolerable (if there is such a thing) level? Have you decided on a new med? I hope that you are holding together as well as can be expected through your struggle. My thoughts continue to be with you, and I wish good things and lots of relief for you very, very soon.
