Well, as I said, the half-life of the beauty of snow in NYC is very short. You learn to get your *ss out of your flat to take it all in as the snow comes down (provided the wind chill isn't too murderous). It can be quite romantic, the city at its most eerie and beautiful. Besides, in my neighborhood, there's a pub about every 10 feet. They even outnumber the Starbucks. You can always pop in for a nice shot of Bushmill's or some other fine Irish whiskey to brace you for the next stretch. I think, having lived here my whole live, I likely see beauty where out-of-towners may not. ;) Atticus
