FGG,
Sorry, but I want to jump in, and do my broken record thing that everybody here is sick of. If you are not yet 50, you have not yet given life a chance, and should not commit suicide. Not that you shouldn't FEEL like doing it (I do, many others do), just that you SHOULD NOT do it yet.
I read that you have small children. I guarantee you do not want to mark them in the way that your sister's death marked you. I experienced the death of a parent at too young an age, and it is a heartbreak from which people do not recover. They may go on (as your children would), but they would not recover. They would grow up without a mother, something you may not be able to imagine.
I do not think any mom wants that for a legacy.
At any rate, you simply must wait until you are 50--if you give life a half a century and you've wanted to leave this veil of tears for most of that time....then, I think at 50, one deserves relief.
