I thought most people in Texas loved everything about it but have recently been meeting people who can't stand it there.(Not the actual place but it's politics and that kind of stuff.) Not that I am saying one place is better than another but many of the Texans I have talked to surprised me in a number of ways (and I don't really want to get into any arguments please, just making observations)1. A number of Texans don't seem very fond of times when George W. Bush was governor. From t.v. (i know. Who should trust that thing!) you'd think every Texan loves him. I am not from your country so I am going to abstain from voicing my oppinion.
2. Many seem to have quite a fair bit of liberalism in them, even if they are conservative on some issues. SOme are even quite more liberal than some of my Canadian liberal friends. Again I don't want to argue which is better.
3. SOme of the Texans I have met remind me a bit of Newfoundlanders here in Canada in that they are actually some of the nicest people I have met anywhere.I don't mean to generalize, but even many AMerican friends I have agree with me on these things.
One thing I wish we all had no matter what country we live in, is politicians who brought people of all types together instead of isolating people and having them fight each other. ANyhow thanks and I hope this makes sence.
