When you're bored in the phone conversations, why is that?
I find being on the phone is very difficult, unless I know someone so well beforehand.
Silences particularly are difficult, when both people feel the pressure to talk, and neither one knows what to say. This can happen with people you like a lot, for many reasons--
Whatever it is, you do need to see this guy, to explore whether it's an infatuation, or something more (or something else).
It's great that you're trying new things-- feeling new feelings, that could lead to better, more satisfying relationships. It's tough, though, in early stages of knowing people where there's an attraction.
I remember with some horror my days of dating. I usually either really got with someone, or really didn't-- but the inbetween ones made me crazy-- and are so so hard to stick with--
Maybe you can jump onto the wave of an adventure and enjoy it-- despite awkwardness and uncertainty-- and see where it carries you...
