The better partner would be the informed partner. One not in denial. One not wedded to an idea of how somebody else is "supposed to" be.

My mental state forces things on me that I would never choose. But, I always do my best. Always.

I don't think choosing a partner by diagnosis, or absence thereof, is a wise criterion.
