expecting T to be perfect

Posted by Angela2 on October 23, 2008, at 17:21:49

Anyone else have this problem? I think I expect my T to have all the answers. Also, I don't think we click.

Earlier in the year like around february and march, I thought it was a good fit. But now...I don't know.

I don't know about finding a new t just like that though either. I'll have to go through the "get to know you" interview where they ask a bazillion questions about yourself.

I think I need to ask myself the question: "What do I want out of therapy?"

ok My answer is: I want to be able to feel like I can do the things I want to do instead of avoid them, because of therapy. I don't know if that makes sense to others or not. But it makes sense to me. I just don't think it's realistic.
