What a lucky puppy to have you caring for her and loving her like that. It sounds like you really spoke to her and she responded to you in that way that only dogs can do. We just lost our beagle and she was so sweet. Not the brightest dog but fiercely affectionate and never ever ever gave up on anything. I miss her and I understand your sadness. Even though it's painful, you did a good thing giving a part of your heart to that beagle. Take care.
