My heart is broken

I was beaglesitting for the past three weeks, as I may have mentioned. A very special old girl (15 with terrible arthritis and recovering from liver surgery, but still plugging along). Anyway, the owners came back today and as soon as I saw them I burst into tears. I actually started crying last night when I was packing and she tried to climb into my suitcase.

I didn't even know how much this was going to hurt. The hardest part, I think, is knowing how much she misses me, too.

Is it true that you can love a human more than this?
