I was alluding to the lack of choice for the patient in choosing a doctor that meets his/her needs. In many cases it may not even be the case that the doctor is bad, but simply the doctor-patient relationship chemistry is not good. Both doc and patient would be better off if there was choice in the matter.
There are some brilliant doctors, and some that border on incompetent. The good doctors should get rewarded for their dedication by having returning patients. The bad doctor should lose business, not be guaranteed a good job regardless how good he/she is to the patients.
