Sorry to hear of your plight.

I boggle at how crap the nhs can be at times.

My GP prescribed me pericyazine since I found the chlorpromazine prescribed by my psychiatrist too uncomfortable. A few weeks later I had a review with the psychiatrist (do they just make the dates for the reviews up out of this air? - I had tried to make an appt with the psych to discuss the chlorpromazine and was told there werent any for months!) and made him aware I was taking pericyazine instead, he was fine with it. Since taking the pericyazine I have consistantly had tremors in my legs and some painful spasms and stiffness in various muscles, it doesnt seem to be passing after about a month so I decided to ask the psychiatrist (via the CPN - heavens forbid should one actually get to talk to ones psychiatrist on the phone) if there was anything that could be done about it. His response was that the GP prescribed it so therefore the GP should sort it out. I tried to explain that the GP doesnt know squat about psych meds and will want his advice. I also pointed out that the GP prescribes all my psych meds since the psych can only write one off prescriptions. They were having none of it. So now Im in the stupid situation where the GP will try to pass the buck to the psych and the psych back to the GP. All over a fairly routine script for procyclidine according to my CPN, who whilst being infinately more accessable can affect neither doctor. I just hope on thursday when I see the GP the whole mess isnt replayed continuously. Bunny
