According to Indian Religion, commiting suicide is one of the worst mistakes a person can make. You don't get relived from your problems by commiting suicide. You get into worser problems.
In Indian religion, there is this concept of soul and body. The soul is eternal and the body is temporary. After a body dies, the soul undergoes a rebirth. Till the soul gets another body it goes to heaven/hell where it either enjoys or suffers according to the deeds in that life.So when you commit a suicide, a soul is prematurely taken away from a body. It has all the desires of a soul, but no body to satisfy the desires. It has thirst, but cannot drink, it has so much hunger, but cannot eat. It is is tired and sleepy, but cannot sleep. IT has to go through this torture till it reaches the natural dying age meant for that person.. it could be several years.
It is said commiting suicide is like jumping into the sea fearing some sea sickness.
I don't know whether you believe in all this or not, but just in case it is true, you don't want to undergo worse suffering.
