I'm worried that you say that you don't trust your Therapist, especially after 8 or 9 months. It sounds like you've done some good work together but if you don't trust that he has your best interests at heart, then maybe looking for another Therapist is a good move.
My experience with CBT was with my child. It was perfect for him -- he had problems with anxiety and panic attacks. After a year in therapy, he ended sessions and is off paxil and doing well. He uses what he learned to cope with the anxiety he still feels. We combined this with Biofeedback techniques, btw.
I say try it. Second opinions never hurt. Maybe you can do a consult before completely changing over.
