One other thing, CrushedOut.
I talked to 5 different therapists when I was looking for a new one and NONE of them told me that I should leave therapy with my old therapist right away. They ALL wanted me to stay and work things out with her - and some wouldn't accept that it was too hard for me to do.
So I guess I'm a little surprised that your consulting therapist told you to leave...
