You have to talk about the problem in order to deal with it. So yes it's painful, but once it's in the open and you work on it, then it becomes a manageable part of your life- and you no longer have to take medication, if you can trace your symptoms to a particular trauma for example. That is certainly true in my case, I am a survivor of child abuse and as awful as it is to deal with that, all the drugs in the world aren't going to make that fact go away. I hope you have a good therapist if your doc just gives meds. take care, judy
