it's to be found in the fact that they didn't follow surgical check lists.

all items on tray at start of procedure are on tray at end of procedure and all things left inside accounted for.

it's accountability on what was on the tray at the start of the procedure.

but, yeah, the district health boards won't hire surgeons. won't pay a fair wage to those who have reputations of doign the things they are supposed to do. repuations of competence.

they won't process their job applications.

they will only hire the people they can fire. jail, even, if they aren't appropriately sychophantic.

_____________

does this lead to a functioning private health system?

no.

the people with all the money seem to be aware they are living this short term high risk high reward game. gamblers. whatever.

they choose to play their game.

until the psychopaths move in and they die of a hosptial related infection or coronavirus masquerading as lung cancer or balls of fungus from their childhood home or whatever.

______________

why don't people want to leave the world better than they found it?

why don't people want to be remembered *well*.
