> I can't tell you how happy I was to find this website. I'm not crazy after all!!! Every single person experiences the exact same withdrawal symptoms I do when trying to stop or taper down on zoloft. I have been on zoloft for about 6 years. I was put on zoloft for post - partum depression after the birth of my second child. I have tried to stop taking the medication 10-15 times over the last few years and get sicker every time. I don't need the medicine anymore but my body is dependent on it. I have always been on 50mg and am now sucessfully down to 25mg but had to get on Wellbutrin to taper down to 25mg. Isn't it a shame that Pfizer is making money on us? It's a crime - I don't need the medicine but am unable to get off it. The doctor's are not educated enough about the seriousness of the side effects when you stop taking zoloft. Do you think if we all banded together, we could have a voice with the FDA? I wouldn't wish the withdrawal symptoms on my worst enemy.

-- Need some feedback since our situations sound similar. I have been on zoloft for over 4 years for panic attacks following the death of my mother. The only real bad side effect was a weight gain of over 40 pounds. I just recently tried to wean off. Went from 150 mg to 100 for a whole year. Went to 50 for about 2 months. My doctor, not a psychiatrist but an internist said I should then take 25 mgs for a week and then stop. At first I was just extra crabby. Then I was feeling like I had the flu, sick to my stomach, had those weird head rushes. Two nights ago I kept waking up to catch my breath. Yesterday was bad sick to my stomach all day long. I actually took a 25 mg zoloft hoping I would feel better. I had a terrible night last night. Couldn't fall asleep without waking up with a racing heart, catching by breath and sick to my stomach. I took another 25 mg pill this am, hoping it will help. When you stopped your zoloft, how did you go back on? Was it slowly or did you go right back to your original dosage? Thanks for your feedback
