In reply to Surgery Closer It Gets More Afraid I am Help !!!!!, posted by Phillipa on February 4, 2008, at 11:40:34
I think it's perfectly natural to be frightened of surgical procedures, even when you have the utmost trust in your doctor. I wouldn't try to fight the fear (how can you? you're already afraid) but instead acknowledge it; this is a milestone for you. repairing what time and childbearing's toll has taken.
Perhaps if you can do some mental images of the post-surgical body you'll have (where did that tummy go to?) and the worries you'll be able to leave behind as a result of the procedure, you can soothe some of your concerns.
Why don't you list some of the benefits of having the surgery here, so you can see it written down?
