I am going to try one of those expensive supplements that is supposed to help aleviate chronic yeast problems. I guess that given the delicate balance of our systems, it wouldn't take much to throw things out of whack. Stress, hormones, you name it.
If you have a contact allergy from the condoms, then the Monistat would not be helping (but it wouldn't be hurting, either). I have to say that even without using them, sex is painful (afterwards) when I have a yeast infection. Actually, it makes me quite miserable.
If it is a yeast infection, then to me it makes perfect sense to take something that works from the inside out. I found with the one-shot pill from the doctor that it made it go away only for a short while. So, I'm trying the health-store supplement route.
I had one doctor once tell me that the CURE for this would be to stand on my head in Arizona. I don't think he was kidding (and he wasn't my doctor for very long!).
