racer:

some people in my office are on this "zone" kick.
i think most fad diets are bunk but ...

they try to balance a snack in terms of fat, protein, and carbs. this means a handful of olives and some green veggies make a good snack. i found eating olives (not too many, 5 or 10) was excellent at curbing hunger.

maybe change your snacks so they are balanced? veggies plus a little bit of high quality cheese and/or olives.

i also find buying the expensive food is much more satisfying and helps me eat smaller quantities. your mileage may vary.
