This is the same struggle that I am going through. It's complete torment and definitely from the devil. I have been on my knees many times crying, begging for release. And like Marsha, when I have those clear peaceful moments I am sooooo grateful. The devil must really hate that, ya know?
I think that there are some major battles going on in the heavenly realms. And Satan is doing everything he can to make us lose trust in God (I think of Job and Daniel) .
Anxiety and depression are Satan's most powerful weapons, but we must remind ourselves that "no weapon formed against us will prosper". The level and viciousness of Satan's attack against us is in direct proportion to his fear of how much God loves us and what he knows we can be. Essentially, the punk is trying to take us out b/c he knows we are a threat to him.
It's spiritual warfare and we need to be reminded who our enemy is and that he hates us, but not only that we need to know who our Protector is and how much he loves us!!!! The battle is already won - Satan's main objective is to keep us from knowing we are already victorious over him. Jesus defeated him for eternity at the cross. Thank you, Lord! Praise you!!!
I feel deeply for you guys struggling with anxiety and depression. It is a very difficult battle. I will be praying and believing for deliverance for you and myself. All things work together for good to those that love God and are called according to His purpose!
