okay, so 'the end of the road' was a bad link, but the floating opera link is good for both books. You can still buy them, yay!!!
Now I will do a plug.
The floating opera is the first part. There are three characters and they are all different kinds of nihilists. Their interaction is a philosphical / existential struggle, and the novel culminates in an attempted suicide. The protaginists variety of nihilism is thus forced to evolve into the variety of nihilism espoused by the protaginist of the second book. The end of the road, and there are three varieties of nihinism that fight it out yet again. There is also a p-doc, who has his own particular variety of nihilism, and some interesting theraputic techniques. I do have to say that these are (together as a pair) the best novels that I have ever read.
