I'm reading the "Wind up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami.. I've recently discovered Murakami, and am addicted to his books!! "Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" was fantatsic!!
"Sputnik sweetheart" was ok, and "Norwegian Wood" I enjoyed alot too (though my husband hated it as its just the story of someones life with no big plot really)I've also recently read "The Green Mile" by Stephen King.. I'm not a fan of King, having read 4 of his other books and not rated them at all.. but father in law lent me this so I thought I'd better be polite and read it.. and I loved it!!
Also read "Goodbye Tsugumi" by Banana Yoshimoto (I must be going through a japanese fiction phase!!) and loved that!!
I don't read books about depression often.. I prefer to escape into a totally different world to mine.. but a friend recently lent me "The Day I went missing" which was OK.. kept me hooked, but its not a masterpiece!!
Its nearly time for my annual reaidng of "Lord of the Rings", but I might put that off till december, so I've read the first two books when the film of the third comes out!!!
Thats it for the past month.. Next two books on my pile are "Pattern Recognition" by William Gibson, and then "Quicksilver" by Neal Stephenson (one of my favouriet authors!)
