Hey Christ_empowered,
Thanks for responding to my questions. It definitely seems to be a good thing that you're feeling calmer and more focused since starting the coenzyme q10 and alpha lipoic acid, even if it might be due to the placebo effect. Maybe these two supplements will ultimately turn out to be helpful additions to your regimen, although I'm sure that you'll need quite a bit more time to evaluate your response.
Other than the niacin and vitamin D3 that I've been taking for a while now alongside my Abilify, I'm currently taking oil of oregano and olive leaf extract. I started the oil of oregano Tuesday and added the olive leaf extract into the mix Wednesday. I'm basically taking both supplements for their antimicrobial properties, in case I might have an infection that might be contributing to my symptoms. My white blood cell count has always come back as being elevated since my first psychiatric hospitalization eight years ago, although the few tests I've had done for specific infections have come back negative. Up to this point, I've had some temporary success with antimicrobial supplements, but nothing that's lasted. Olive leaf extract never really seemed to help much -- at least not for very long -- when I took it alone, but so far, I'm noticing the usual improvement in my energy and concentration with the two supplements together. So, we'll see what will happen.
I hope that your treatment regimen, including the many supplements that you're taking, will continue to serve you well. Have a good night.
