L-Taurine is not reported to cause any significant side effects. Considering the biochemistry of individuals can be widely different I don't think trying to find the same side effect profiles in others will help you. It's possible that you had a reaction to possible binders/additives/impurities in your supplement or it wasn't the Taurine but something else you ingested or your particular environment at the time. If you took Taurine as a tablet try it as powdered form, if you get the same effects then you know it's not for you. Also there can be a strong psychosomatic effect from ingesting something new to you, and now you may have sensitised yourself to this "Will this happen again if I take Taurine?"

When taking supplements 2+2 doesn't always = 4
