Dr.s opinion on Magnesium...

I saw my Dr. yesterday and told him I had started to take Magnesium Phosphate. (This is a HOMEOPATHIC form of Magnesium - NOT a citrate or chelate or anything-ate. It comes in the homeopathic section of the health food store. My dr. freaked and said he was "washing his hands of this one". He said that if you mess around with Magnesium without CAREFULLY monitoring your electrolytes it can quickly lead to some serious side effects including sudden heart failure. Anyway, because I am taking a HOMEOPATHIC (which is really just a speck of the stuff in a sugar pill)I feel ok to keep on (and WILL have my electrolytes monitored). If it was in any other form I would be afraid. Larry, what do you think?
Just trying to pass along the caution.
