In general I'm against it because it seriously impedes genuine exchanges. In the case of Babble, it has gone to extremes that are simply ridiculous. Like all internet fora, the member has the right not to remain a member, and to read or ignore posts as he/she feels fit. I don't see much valuable support being exchanged here, due to Bob's endless drive to make all posts into innocuous drivel, in the name of "civility".
