That depends on your understanding of what defames a person?
When a person's works, his paintings, his writings, his songs, and others, has an authority write,[...not to read in the first place...] with the potentential for some others also to think that what Dr. Hsiung wrote could mean that you might be better off in some way that you [..not to read...], then IMO, I feel defamed here. That may not be a definition of legal defamation in some jurisdictions, but that is how I feel.
