so sorry. :-(
I take loads of vitamins, too (DIY Orthomolecular...seems to help, tremendously). My own, personal, -non-expert- suggestion would be to work with what you have going on, now.
so...adderall. how is it dosed? sufficient? xr form? ir? both? any crashes here and there that might be making things worse?
same for xanax. there's an xr...not ideal, but it tends to be smoother, overall, than multiple ir tablets throughout the day. If I recall correctly (and, please keep in mind; I could be incorrect...I often am, lol), xanax xr is associated with a bit less dosage escalation, over time, than the IR stuff. Or someone claims so, anyway.
ambien...not a big fan, myself, but some people do well on it, long term. the bigger, more pressing issue: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. and then...
vitamins. :-) I just decided to add in relatively high dose (total 6 grams of the EPA, DHA good stuff, spread over 10 caps, 5 caps AM and again PM) in the hopes of mellowing out my mood...
and hopefully giving my skin a movie star glow. lol. :-)
but seriously. I've been doing much, much better with high dose C plus b-complex plus niacinamide (its the form of B3 I prefer). The B3 is currently at 6 grams/daily, for me, which...
short term, helps just -simmer down- , and now that I've been consistent about both overall intake and also about dosing (3x daily! its an accomplishment, for me!), I find...
fewer rumination, thoughts flow more freely...fewer of those obsessive "loops" and such. mood is...better, lucid and calmer and brighter and more...
"...of sound mind..," I think.
oh, and I decided to top off my DIY Orthomolecular protocol with astaxanthin @ 24mgs/daily (12mgs capsules, 2 with food in the AM) and then Pycnogenol @ 200mgs/day (100mgs capsules, 2x daily).
The Pycnogenol...-shrug-. Less expensive options out there. I just sometimes go for brand name stuff because of the little studies the manufacturer has funded, plus the hope (finger crossed...) that they're good about quality control.
Astaxanthin seems to be helpful, in the sense that I have a tad more energy, concentration, and...yeah. just...good times. For a while, I took 12mgs of the Hawaiian stuff, then I stumbled on this brand...
its from Israel? never heard of it before, but it "gets the job done," and its less expen$ive than the Nutrex, and the manufacturer seems legit and all, so...ok. good times.
again, sorry you're suffering. some other things (supplements) that just now popped into my mind that might be helpful for you, at some point...
Suntheanine (branded theanine...I go for this stuff because I hope they do quality control...), ashwagandha (I went for the Jarrow version, it was on sale and worked well for me, personally), rhodiola (did well with both NOW and Solaray), Schisandra (currently take the solaray when I feel so inclined...), and then...
some data would indicate that coenzyme q-10 supplements can boost mood and overall quality of life in -some- people with -some- forms of depression (really helpful, I know). 200mgs seems to be the going dosage for psych indications. using a supplement with BioPerine seems to help absorption...
personally, I haven't added in coenzyme q-10 just yet, but I did find BioPerine on sale to add in to what I take now. Seems to help me get more mileage out of what's already in the protocol.
ok. try to have a good day :-)
