Yeah, rents are INSANE. We have one of the most bubbly housing markets in the world.

The health care system is misunderstood. We are dealing with aging demographics (like many developed regions) which are taxing the 'free' system. Wait times for many diagnostics and procedures are growing. Our doctor retired 6 months ago and I'm having a difficult time connecting with a doctor. Medications are not covered. If you've got money or insurance, you're fine.

So, I'm in a limbo, no doctor, no psychiatrist, no medication coverage. You can go to a 'walk in clinic' for free, but its not ideal for psychiatric issues.

It's not a bad country to live (in some ways), but taxes are high, rents are high, the currency has weakened in recent years, household debt is in the top 3 countries (relative to income). Ontario too, has a lot of provincial debt and the new government is cutting services left and right.
