You can't predict your reaction to bupropion from your experience with SAMe. To begin with, they have different mechanisms of action.
There's no guarantee you won't have an adverse experience with bupropion, but the only way to find out is to give it a try. It seems the most likely worst that can happen is that you'll have a bad day or two. Personally, I consider that to be worth the risk.
