All men get prostate cancer if they live long enough, but it often just sits there doing nothing.
For those unlucky enough to have metastatic prostate cancer, castration is now done reversibly with meds, rather than surgery, but the side effects are the same.... :/ Zoladex injection is a pretty standard 'chemical castration'. It never cures the cancer but it can temporarily shrink the mets enough to relieve pain a lot.
