prozac can work for anxiety, but it's known to be a stimulating SSRI, it's not like effexor and cymblata, which bump up norepinephrine, it raises serotonin and somewhat works norepinephrine and some dopamine indirectly.......don't take prozac before bed, usally in the mornings or afternoons
mood improvement = it depends , but some people ... it doesntt work for them, for me i can smile at people through the day, and feel everything is "ok" other people need stronger meds,...i've read about, effexor has seemed to be a the big champ for resistant depression without using MAOI's, my counselor told me she took prozac and didnt work and moved to effexor and everything was back, but effexor is strong and using it in a mood disorder is risky, it increases much of serotonin and NE than others. Prozac for me just .... feel everything is "ok" do have bad days, but their not as bad as not when it was there, in dark depression depths
everything can change like that, and all these years go by so fast, but nothing lasts forever
