i just havent been responding to any meds. what few meds ive felt any effect from, have been very negative effects. im currently taking Selegiline (1.25mgs/day) and Naltrexone (25mgs/day) with zero effect from either. its like my emotional response is too blank to give any effect from these meds. and im sure the problem is chemical. my brain just doesnt have the resources. ive tried rTMS and ECT as well. ECT helped slightly with my movement problems with the first couple of treatments, but then the tteatments started making my mood even worse. and Medicare wont cover the Vagus Nerve Stimulation i tried for in December. ive also tried Ketamine and a doc even tried me on Flumazenil.
One med, Cyproheptadine. helped a LOT a few years ago. it seemed like it got righf to the root of the problem. it brought me from being completely emotionally frozen and stuck in bed, staring out the bed, to living a pretty normal life and able to enjoy things like music and sunlight. but i had to slowly raise the dose as i got better and better because each dose stopped working after just a few days, until i got to a dose way, way too high. since then ive been slowly regressing back to where i started from. ive tried taking it lately and it still has zero benefit. and ive tried meds with similar mechanisms and get no benefit. i believe Cyproheptadines tolerance made me tolerant meds tgat work in a similar way.
...anyway, this has gotten kinda long. i could probably write all day about what ive experienced the past 5 years.
