i used to feel that euphoria you get from exercise, before i ever took psych meds. When on them,i didnt feel it.That was one reason i tapered off zoloft and remeron.I so badly missed it.I used exercise for many years and it worked to ward off anxiety, depression. But the last episode i had,it didnt work, thus I had to go on meds, which did work. Now that Im down to klonopin only,i can feel relaxed after exercise, but not the euphoria.Ive tried to get off k to see if I could just rely on exercise again.Well, you can imagine how that goes.I dont get very far with the taper. But I love to move, always have.Exercise gives me control, relief,a rhythm, a reason.
I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing-Agatha Christie
