Some times, actualy a lot of times, you need prior aproval to see a shrink, you get it by calling your insurance company. They then aprove you for so many visits with a mental health doctor. Also if you have a primary care physician, you will need a referal from your family doctor. Thats only if your insurance is an HMO policy, it will say that on your insurance card. If its not an HMO it will say PPO.
