How does your current doctor get paid? On your parents insurance, or does your mother pay cash?
See if this new doctor can bill your parents insurance, sure, they might find out, but by then you'll have seen him and it will be too late.
Does your mother come into the doctors consulting room with you, or do you have some privacy with the doctor? If you do, tell him/her that you feel you need a second opinion from this doctor, and remind them that what you have said is in confidence, not to be shared with your mother
