Some say that the 60mg a day regimen works for them--60mg isn't enough to get you high on an actual (robo)trip, but perhaps one can notice antidepressant qualities at that dosage (about twice the recommended dosage).

> A warning, though: Some users have stated that after they stopped taking DXM, they go through (mostly psychological) withdrawal symptoms like depression, fatigue, lethargy, shortened attention span, just to name a few. I myself can vouch for all of these because right now I'm still going through a mild/severe depression and it's been quite a few weeks since I last took DXM.I know dextromethorphan has anti-depressant qualities from experience. I think the problem is that consistent with some other drugs that elevate the neuro-transmitter dopamine the brain cannot replace them consistently enough. The effect seems to be depression after a few days as the brain and body try to return to a state of homeostasis.
However I just started taking the MAOI-b Selegiline in the form of Ensam. Its a 6mg/24hr skin patch. In theory it inhibits the breakdown of only MAO-b transmitters, "MAO-B preferentially deaminates phenylethylamine and trace amines. Dopamine is equally deaminated by both types" - Taken from wikipedia. So I think there could be a synergy between Emsam and dextromethorphan. The dextromethorphan could elevate dopamine while the Emsam would prevent rapid breakdown.
DANGER/WARNING - Most doctors will tell you this combination is very dangerous. In my non-professional opinion I agree. I do think someone in excellent health and mental status would benefit from this combination at a low dosage. This is certainly new territory. I will do my best to report on any experience I have with the combination.
You are on the right track.
