Speaking from experience, I do believe that DXM can have some antidepressant effects. Some say that the 60mg a day regimen works for them--60mg isn't enough to get you high on an actual (robo)trip, but perhaps one can notice antidepressant qualities at that dosage (about twice the recommended dosage).

However, I myself can't be sure of this because when I take DXM, I usually go upwards of 300mg (to robotrip). But quite a few times, I've noticed that after I've come down from the afterglow, I am less depressed than before taking DXM.

A warning, though: Some users have stated that after they stopped taking DXM, they go through (mostly psychological) withdrawal symptoms like depression, fatigue, lethargy, shortened attention span, just to name a few. I myself can vouch for all of these because right now I'm still going through a mild/severe depression and it's been quite a few weeks since I last took DXM.
