Dextromethorphan as an antidepressant?

Posted by sukarno on March 7, 2006, at 12:57:06

I had read that dextromethorphan, a popular cough suppressant, is also a potent inhibitor of serotonin reuptake.

Does this mean it has any value in treatment of depression? Does it have any antidepressant effect?

Thanks!

Paul
