Isn't this a bit high without know where one's vitamin D levels are at? I take 2000 iu and my levels were at 50 ng/ml, a level I would not want to go any higher than. Anyone taking 5000 to 10000 iu vitamin D a day should be getting their level tested a few times a year. We just don't know yet exactly what the optimal level of vitamin D is. I do know that having too high vitamin D levels over a long period of time can potentially cause some problems. Carlson Solar D softgels is the best vitamin D supplement, IMO. Whatever you take, make sure it is vitamin D3 and make sure it is an oil based softgel. Vitamin D3 is cheap as dirt, even the Carlson's one.
