You might want to consider taking some tonic herbs/adaptogens to help your body to produce energy. Stimulants and other medications don't actually produce energy. They can, over time, weaken the body's ability to produce energy.
The diarrhea suggests weak digestive function. Ginseng, codonopsis, white atractylodes, poria, licorice, ginger, red dates, and other herbs can be used to strengthen your digestion and help you with energy. To make it easy, just take tablets or teapills in a premade formula such as:
Shen Ling Bai Zhi Wan (the name just refers to several of the herbs contained in it e.g. ginseng = ren shen -> shen, poria = fu ling -> ling)

I've taken this to stop diarrhea that was not caused by food or bugs. It was caused by extreme overexertion and exhaustion. It also boosts energy, but given that your body is in a weak state, it could take some time to heal completely.
Glutamine, taken at a dose of 4g or above, helps to heal the gut lining.
