> Yes, I have done this and preached about it several times over the years. In my opinion, doses of 1mg to 7.5mg are ideal for sleep. I found even tiny crumbs, maybe 1mg to 2mg, were just great. My tinnitus is aggravated by anything that stimulates NE. I noticed that happening at 7.5mg. From that I conclude that below 7.5mg it is mostly a powerful antihistamine, and likewise blocks the particular serotonin receptors that might otherwise not allow good sleep. With remeron, the lower the dose the better, for sleep anyway. Though it still gave me good sleep at its regularly prescribed doses, the sleep was much more restless and filled with bizarre dreams. The ultra low dose sleep was just a good deep sleep.
Thanks for sharing. I will give the 1 mg "crumb" a try. Did you ever try losing weight on this dose?
