At l/4 of a 15 mg tablet, I noticed it does a good job of inducing and maintaining sleep. With the Doxepin I noticed they took it down to a tiny dose compared to the antidepressant amounts, and thereby (this is the theory) only tap into the antihistaminergic qualities that make you go to sleep and not the other side effects. I wondered how low you would have to go with the Mirtazapine dose to get that effect. With 4 l/2 mg I notice that although I don't have weight gain, I certainly can't lose weight. Darn!!!!!
